This weekend included:

Pizza at Grimaldi's--Yum!
Followed by a walk across the Brookly Bridge.

Brunch the next morning at the Tavern on the Green in Central Park
Pedicures for our tired feet--all with "I'm Not Really a Waitress" red polish.
We squeezed in a trip around the Statue of Liberty
And a 20-minute tour of Ellis Island. I could have spent hours there, and fully intend to on one of my future trips.
We tried out the Russian Tea Room for dinner, with a dessert that included gold caviar. I hadn't ever tried caviar before, and I wouldn't have expected my first time to be for dessert. I probably won't be making it at home, but it was fun to try.
And since no trip to New York would be complete without a little Broadway, I went to see Wicked while Lisa and Shauri saw South Pacific (they had already seen Wicked). It worked out great for me since our hotel was a block from the theatre.A huge thank-you to Shauri and Lisa for a great weekend, and to Ryan for holding down the homefront while I went to have some fun. The only thing that would have made the weekend better would have been having Kristin and Delsa with us too. And not being 35 weeks pregnant.

I LOVE Wicked! I listen the music but I haven't been able to see it yet. Everytime I try to plan a trip to NYC, I decide that I can't afford it. Wicked is coming to Virginia Beach and I am trying to get tickets to see it there. Wish me luck!
Amy, Great Post! Just wanted to let you know that you look GREAT for being 35 weeks pregnant by the way!!
I can't believe you are having a baby in a MONTH! Holy Cow!
What a super fun tradition to go to NYC!
I LOVE your blog topper btw!
I try not to be envious, but it's hard. I will be so happy to share more of those moments with you all again.
I heart NY, too! Glad you got to see "Wicked." I've seen it a couple times--it's one of my faves!
Also, I'm Not Really a Waitress is THE BEST red there is! Good choice!
Yea! I found your blog. Sounds like a great trip. I went to San Francisco with all my sisters-in-law when I was 35 weeks pregnant with Jessica. It was a great trip, and a last hurrah for a few months. You look GREAT by the way.
Can I come spend hours at Ellis Island with you?! Please say yes, because it is one of my dreams to take a trip to NYC with you. And I fully intend to do just that! Sounds like you had a magical time. I'm so glad!
